Art Director, Designer, Illustrator

Worked with a team to create all visual aspects of this new media company, I split my time between creating magazine broadsheet covers, designing and illustrating their interior pages, and directing illustrators and photographers. I managed special projects such as books, merchandise, apparel, mobile devices, website design, advertising, and television graphics. I also had hand in the editorial process, joining in creative meetings for our print, television/video, radio, advertising, and merchandising teams, and generally lending direction

While at THIS LAND, I created more than 60 covers. They were always my favorite part of the job, and I had a wide latitude to do with them as I please. I composed fovers not only as digital and analog illustrations, but with cut fabric, pencil shavings, and even dirt!

layouts& Spot Illustrations

I love layout! Which is a weird thing to say, maybe, but it’s true. Doing dozens a week was great practice for later jobs in web & app design and layout.
